Champagne Suzy, renowned striptease artist, spent many years performing up and down the east coast to standing-room-only crowds. Following in the tradition of Gypsy Rose Lee, Lily St. Cyr and Blaze Starr, Champagne Suzy turned striptease into an Art Form.
With dreams of taking her passion for dance to the legitimate stage, Champagne Suzy moved to London to train in the classics. Success soon followed when she moved back to the States and continued her career acting and dancing in the New York theatre scene.
With Champagne Suzy as the inspiration, it was inevitable that the two would open Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuce – a reworking of the back-alley, burlesque vibe that Champagne Suzy knew so well. Designing the costumes, hand-picking the dancers and putting together the musicians, the two turned Champagne Suzy’s particular talents into the phenomenal success that Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuce has become. Opening in Hollywood, Vegas soon came knocking and Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuce launched its second venue at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. A line of sexy, branded merchandise and a burlesque inspired couture collection soon followed. With plans to open Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuces in other cities in the U. S. and abroad, the Champagne Suzy image is destined to become as recognizable an icon as the Playboy Bunny.
