Innovative Hospitality Developer to Introduce New Standard for Nightlife and Entertainment in the Region

(Columbus, Ohio) March 13, 2019 – Renowned nightlife innovator Ivan Kane will debut his legendary Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuce at Easton Town Center’s $500 million expansion currently under construction in the northeast area of the development. Kane’s clubs are famous for their high-

profile clientele, celebrity investors and reinvention of the burlesque art form.

Expected to open in 2019 in partnership with LOUD Capital, Kane’s famed dining and entertainment experience will be reflective of his other Forty Deuce venues in both Hollywood and Las Vegas

Carmen Electra and George Clooney as well as Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Brad Pitt, Justin Timberlake, Ryan Gosling, Ellen

DeGeneres, Leonardo DiCaprio and Mick Jagger, to name a few. Sting and the late David Bowie partnered with Kane on a Forty Deuce project. Forty Deuce ventures have garnered worldwide press, its own reality show on Bravo and numerous appearances on late-night talk-shows.

regulars have included Ohio natives

As with all of Kane’s venues, the new Forty Deuce will be branded with Ivan Kane’s name on the door, a name which has become synonymous with innovation, imagination and vision within the nightlife and hospitality industry. As both a Café and hidden Speakeasy, the venue will have its own distinct energy fed by live music, patron dancing and performances that will introduce a new standard of nightlife and entertainment to the region.

Says owner Ivan Kane, “After years of developing concepts on both coasts, I’m proud and excited to be working with the visionary developers behind Easton. Their forward- thinking and ever-evolving approach to the guest experience checks all the boxes for Ivan Kane Enterprises; i.e. a vibrant, relevant and sophisticated city with a hugely successful business model and diverse demographic. I couldn’t think of a better place to launch our mid-west flagship than at Easton.”

“We’re so excited about revealing everything that’s coming to the Easton expansion area,” said Jennifer Peterson, CEO of Easton. “The new entertainment options are incredibly compelling and add an entirely new dimension to the Easton experience. We expect Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuce Café and Speakeasy to be a huge draw from the moment it opens. There’s simply nothing like it in the region.”

Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuce Cafe and Speakeasy features:

The Forty Deuce Café:

A 3,500 s.f. bistro and bar on the street level, open for lunch, dinner and late-night dining seven days a week.

The Café mixes traditional checker table-clothed decor with whimsical design aesthetics, creating a comfortable and approachable room that takes its cues from traditional New York east side saloons. The space is tight and cozy, with patrons eating at tables or hanging at the bar, watching a game or listening to Sinatra croon on the jukebox or the piano player singing Bowie’s Space Oddity on the beat-up upright in the corner.

The Forty Deuce Speakeasy:

An intimate 3,000 s.f. hidden space tucked away upstairs that will draw packed houses on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, plus assorted additional nights.

Weaving through the loud and lively Cafe, past crowded tables and customers two deep at the bar, guests will

discover the swinging kitchen doors under an “Employees Only” sign, next to servers waiting for orders to hit the pick-up window.

Accessing the hidden speakeasy requires guests to pass through the swinging doors into the busy kitchen, trod the thick rubber floor mats past the working hot line as cooks yell “Order up!”, navigate around the dishwasher scrubbing cooking sheets or stacking clean plates, and serpentine past the store room and stock room past kegs of beer and boxes of buns to reach the heavy, walk-in refrigerator door at the back of the kitchen.

The magical mystery tour begins through the false refrigerator door and up the well-worn steps of a concealed staircase to the attic landing of an old, storage warehouse from a long-abandoned theater. Guests will make their way by props, mannequins and dress forms through hanging costumes and discarded theatrical lights long rusted from years of neglect until they reach another hidden door that finally grants access into the secret world of Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuce Speakeasy.

Once inside the retro-sexy speakeasy lounge, guests will discover a room where the lights are low and the entertainment is hot, the crowd basking in the warm glow of small table lamps on distressed brick walls.

Straight from Kane’s packed rooms in Hollywood, Las Vegas and Atlantic City, this is entertainment the way it was meant to be. DJs spin a dance party vibe while guests dance the night away. When anticipation builds to a palpable crescendo in the crowded room, a catwalks descend down from the revolving turntable behind the bar spins the DJ off and the live band on as industrial ceiling to create performance platforms for the live entertainment.

Vegas Magazine states “Ivan Kane has almost single-handedly made nightlife sexy!”

Ivan Kane’s hospitality empire has transformed the live entertainment experience over the course of two decades with countless nightclubs, bars, restaurants and cabarets. The original Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuce in Hollywood and its subsequent reincarnation at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas generated international accolades and celebrity endorsements. With Bravo’s hit reality show Forty Deuce, Kane’s reputation as the most innovative force in nightlife was cemented in history. Ivan Kane’s venues are “built around spectacle, unmatched ambience, naughtiness and nightly seduction. Best known for always expanding the genre, Kane has established some of the country’s trendiest clubs.” Says Kane, “The goal of Ivan Kane Enterprises is pure imagination. Nightlife as art.”
